Selling your business is a difficult decision

You have worked hard to make your business what it is today. You care deeply about your customers and employees but have decided you want to move on. Finding the right buyer is a crucial decision, one you will most likely only make once in your life. You want someone who offers you a fair price but will also be a good steward for the company. You fear that a buyer might only be interested in loading the business with debt, cutting costs, relocating, treating your colleagues poorly or not giving your customers what they deserve. In our experience, rightfully so.

- Our capital is permanent. We don't need to sell the business in 2-3 years; we plan to own and hopefully improve the business for decades. 

- We have been entrepreneurs ourselves. We understand that real life is more complicated than an Excel sheet.  

- We invest our own money. We don't have to answer to external investors, so we have the time to do what is right for the business rather than "hit" specific numbers.

What we are looking for:

- Your business is consistently profitable

- It has high returns on capital (high margins and/or low working capital or capex requirements)

- Profitability of between £0.75 - 3m per annum 

- We prefer a management team in place but can proceed without one as we plan to be active owners

- We are open to any sector but have more experience and interest in business services, technology, distribution and niche manufacturing.

What we can offer:

- Fast feedback: We will let you know quickly if we are interested or not.

- Quick decision making: We work with you to find solutions. There are no investment committees or approval processes that slow us down. 

- Flexibility: We prefer to buy the whole business, but maybe that is not what you want. Perhaps there are some assets (real estate) that you want to keep or maybe you want to stay involved in some capacity. We can adapt and innovate.
